City of Holdfast Bay Sport Awards

Consultation has concluded

With over 50 recreation and sporting clubs in the area, the annual City of Holdfast Bay Sports Awards celebrate the people and clubs who help keep our community healthy and connected.

If you know an individual or club who goes that extra step to encourage, inspire, grow and nurture others then make sure you nominate them now in one of three categories:

  • CLUB OF THE YEAR presented by Flight Centre, Glenelg
  • LEADER OF THE YEAR presented by Good Physio
  • VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR presented by Gelatissimo, Glenelg

Nominations are now open to all sporting and recreation clubs in the City of Holdfast Bay area and their members. Nominations will close at 5pm Friday 12 October 2018, with finalists recognised at the Awards Presentation on Tuesday 30 October 2018.

Ensure you review the award criteria before submitting your nomination.

PRIZES
Catagory winners will each take home a trophy as well as a travel voucher thanks to Flight Centre Glenelg and vouchers from Good Physio and Gelatissimo Glenelg.

    The below criteria should be reviewed before submitting your nomination as these are the criteria that the judging panel will be looking for and should therefore be reflected in the submission.

    Achievements must have be demonstrated over the last 12 months.




    CLUB OF THE YEAR presented by Flight Centre Glenelg
    Is a City of Holdfast Bay sporting or recreation club that has continually strived to be the best through good governance, club initiatives and activities that have benefited the members and wider community.

    Nominees for Club of the Year presented by Flight Centre Glenelg should demonstrate:

    • A positive difference to its members and where possible wider community.

    • Development of club programs and initiatives that benefit members, the wider community and longevity of the club.

    • Demonstration of a well managed club, positive and supportive environment and good management.


    LEADER OF THE YEAR presented by Good Physio
    Is an individual in a leadership role such as a coach, official or committee member at a City of Holdfast Bay sport or recreation club who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment and passion to sport and strives for performance excellence in their field that sets them apart from their peers.




    Nominees for Leader of the Year presented by Good Physio should demonstrate that they:

    • Undertake significant contribution to their club, and/or association.

    • Undertake their duties with fairness and integrity.

    • Develop other members of the club and/or community.


    VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR presented by Gelatissimo Glenelg

    Is an individual at a City of Holdfast Bay sport or recreation club who in a volunteer capacity has consistently made an exceptional contribution to their activity.


    Nominees for Volunteer of the Year presented by Gelatissmo Glenelg should demonstrate that they:

    • Add value to their club/team/association through their own effort over and above their role requirements.

    • Have a positive impact on the people they interact with.

    The below criteria should be reviewed before submitting your nomination as these are the criteria that the judging panel will be looking for and should therefore be reflected in the submission.

    Achievements must have be demonstrated over the last 12 months.
